Hanging flowers by ribbon is a simply lovely way to dress up a space for your wedding or reception. Whether you go with an all-white look or a thematic colour, or just use greenery, hanging arrangements will look fabulous and fresh.

I also love when the flowers are adorned with strands of clear beads and baubles. Or you can go with a more low-key feel, and hang flowers from jars or cans. Flowers are just the beginning of this trend. Patterned parasols, colourful paper pom poms, candle holders, and adorable little birdcages--if you can string it up en masse, you will delight your guests with such a display.

.......

I used to hang all sorts of things from thread, ribbon, etc, when doing window displays for shops. It was always an easy way to create an eye-catching window. My favourite display was done by folding several dozen origami paper cranes, in bright pink, orange, and white, and hanging them in a sweeping diagonal. There was no merchandise in the window at all! I just added a paper "sale" banner, looking as if two of the cranes were holding it in their beaks.

Louis Vuitton Cruise 2012

I love the 1920s-inspired spring day in Paris theme in the Louis Vuitton Cruise 2012 ad campaign. Model Arizona Muse looks utterly gorgeous. Wavy cropped hair is a look I always enjoy seeing. But let's not forget the clothes! I'll take the navy and teal striped dress, please, as well as the coral cardigan worn with it. Throw in those fab shades, and a chic handbag (LV's specialty, of course), and you'll have a perfect ensemble for a perfect day--especially in Paris!

For years, I've been enamored by Woods wallpaper by Cole & Son. I would have to say that it is my all-time favourite wallpaper pattern.

Since I'm currently obsessing over ideas for my Dream House, I'm imagining possible places where this wallpaper could go. I would love to use it in the entryway, lounge and/or dining area. I'm picturing having the design with the white background, to keep the space light and airy.

dreamy houses

Yesterday, my boyfriend, Glen, and I visited a home display village, where we walked through six different houses. We're considering building our own home, in a couple of years, and we are trying to get a better idea of what we would like our dream house to be like. Let's just say that two passionate people trying to figure out what they want makes for a very interesting afternoon!

At least we are starting to picture what our new house could be like. Walking through the display homes really helped us to get a better perspective on the way the rooms are laid out, the proportions of the spaces, and the way different sorts of spaces look and feel.

Since I'm in house daydreaming-mode now, I thought I'd share some inspiring images of dream-worthy houses with you today.

Soon, I would like to put together a blog of images of what the interior of my Dream House would look like (as long as Glen would let me get my way!). A girl can dream, right? I'm sure, over time, I will be blogging more and more about my house daydreams and plans. One day, I hope to show you the finished product!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Cheers!

Fab Frock Friday: Nina Ricci 2012

Happy Friday, everyone!

I love this gorgeous 2012 collection by Nina Ricci, don't you? (That last one is not a frock, of course, but I just had to include it.) I wouldn't mind wearing the pink satin dress, myself, or the red dress, or the lovely floral one. They are all so feminine and elegant.
