Magical Marrakech

Calgon, take me away... to this chic hotel in Marrakech!

I can imagine being there, sipping cool drinks in the courtyard garden... enjoying a nap in a hammock for a lazy afternoon... having a rose petal-laden bath before dinner... taking a stroll through the hotel at night... Ah, yes, this is relaxation at its finest.

Hope you will enjoy this bit of escapism as much as I do. Looking at these gorgeous Moroccan rooms is making me feel like I'm on a mini vacation. Perfect for a post-holiday Monday, eh?

A bit of escapism for Sunday...

(my own photo)

Yestersay, I had the pleasure of spending the entire day with the great love of my life (which only happens a couple of times a month, because of his busy schedule).

We drove out to the Barossa wine country... having lunch at a bakery... getting happily lost along winding roads... discovering hilltop views we had not seen before... browsing at a favourite antiques shop in an old church... stocking up on wine...and then getting cozy back at home... with a bottle of merlot and a classic film. Aaahh, I live for these days!

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend as much as I am. Cheers!

Le Burgundy Hotel in Paris

To keep with my traveling mood, today we are going on a virtual vacation to a fabulous new hotel in Paris, Le Burgundy.

Enjoy!

I'll post some photos (if I take any good ones!) from Melbourne, after I get back from our holiday. Wishing you all a lovely week and weekend!

Home Sweet Home

 ***

Hello, all! I've made it back to Adelaide, Australia, safe and sound. I'm so happy to be with my wonderful man, again. Life is good.

The trip was very long and tiring (I was in transit for about 33 hours, crossing over 10,000 miles). But it was well worth it, to bring me back to my new home--all for the sake of love.

Yesterday, Glen and I took a drive to Angaston, a favorite town out in wine country. We strolled up and down the main street, and browsed at an antiques shop, located in an old church. Then we dined on meat pies for lunch at a local bakery. We drove through the rolling hills of the Barossa, admiring the serene little towns and the rhythm of grapevines. How I have missed such lovely afternoons!

Today, I've been settling into our new place, sorting my things, and getting organized a bit. The jet lag has abated. I feel rested and happy.

I will get back to blogging beautiful things tomorrow.

Au revoir!

Today I will be flying to Australia, to be with my sweetie! I'll post again, once I'm settled in, and recovered from the jet lag. It is time to return to my adopted home to be with the love of my life. I'm so excited!
