A Grande Venetian Hotel

When I first saw the Aman Grande Canal hotel in Venice, its elegant magnificence took my breath away. I cannot imagine a more grande getaway! 

Just look at the amazing frescoes, chandeliers, fireplaces, and--of course, views of the canals, the hotel has. Every guest room is different, with unique decorative features. Contemporary furniture from the likes of B&B Italia beautifully contrasts against the old school glamour of the interiors.

A library stocked with books on design and history, along with two dining rooms, a bar, and a games room, offer guests ample spaces to relax. 

The hotel also boasts a good deal of outdoor space, including a private garden just above sea level, as well as a terrace garden overlooking the terra cotta rooftops of Venice. 

My daydreams of going to Venice just got even more romantic and extravagant!

Magical Marrakech

Calgon, take me away... to this chic hotel in Marrakech!

I can imagine being there, sipping cool drinks in the courtyard garden... enjoying a nap in a hammock for a lazy afternoon... having a rose petal-laden bath before dinner... taking a stroll through the hotel at night... Ah, yes, this is relaxation at its finest.

Hope you will enjoy this bit of escapism as much as I do. Looking at these gorgeous Moroccan rooms is making me feel like I'm on a mini vacation. Perfect for a post-holiday Monday, eh?

Escape to Greece...

Gazing at the beautiful San Giorgio Beach Hotel on the island of Mykonos, Greece is filling my mind with daydreams of taking a relaxing holiday abroad. Perfect for a little escapism today...

The hotel's owners believe that “people are not seeking luxury in a traditional definition any more", and their goal was to "create an atmosphere which will make you feel like you are at the summer home of your close friends".

Well, most of us do not have friends with homes on sunny islands, so it's a good thing we can visit this gorgeous hotel instead!

La Bella Coppola - Palazzo Margherita

    


    Fancy a holiday in Italy? (Who doesn't?) Perhaps you would like to stay at a Belle Epoque villa in a relaxed little town, away from the more touristy spots. Sure, you say. Let's go one step further, and make it the Palazzo Magherita, family home and hotel of Mr Francis Ford Coppola. Yes, you read that right. Not only does Mr Coppola direct movies, he also owns several hotels, including this bellisima villa.


    The Palazzo Margherita is located in the town of Bernalda, in southern Italy. The Coppola family loves to spend time there. Sofia Coppola even has her own suite, which she helped to design. The entire hotel was designed by the legendary Jacques Grange, and features a soft pastel palette, summery furnishings, and delicately painted Tunisian-style murals, not to mention gorgeous floor tiles and lovely chandeliers.


    Imagine sipping a Limonata over lunch in the walled courtyard garden, having a swim in the palazzo's pool, then taking a leisurely stroll through the town's rustic streets. Later, you would enjoy dinner back at the hotel, and catch a movie in the grand salon, before wrapping up the evening with a glass of wine at the Family Bar, Sofia's favourite place to enjoy a nightcap. Finally, you will sink into bed in your very comfortable and beautifully-designed suite.

Le Burgundy Hotel in Paris

To keep with my traveling mood, today we are going on a virtual vacation to a fabulous new hotel in Paris, Le Burgundy.
