A breath of fresh air...

Over the weekend, my boyfriend and I got a new outdoor table and chair setting for our back garden, to take advantage of the gloriously warm weather. It is so nice to sit outside, listening to the birds while a warm breeze wafts through the garden. Aaah! The simple pleasures of life...

We had dinner with G's daughters, on the day we got the table setting, and then had a fire in our fire bowl afterwards. Enchiladas and wine, and then more wine and some chocolate... looking up at the stars together... being serenaded by a 7-year old (complete with dance moves, to Michael Jackson's "Bad"). It doesn't get much better than this, folks.

Here are 10 beautiful outdoor rooms to inspire you today. These images are giving me so many ideas, for our own garden. I can't wait to fill our pots with flowers and herbs, fire up the grill, and hang out in the garden with our nearest and dearest.

Have a lovely day, everyone! For more outdoors inspiration, visit my Pinterest board here.

P.S. One more thing... A cocktail which looks perfect for warm weather:

Acapulco Cliff Hanger

1 cup watermelon chunks, pureed in the blender and strained (makes about 1/3 cup)
2 ounces light tequila
1 ounce lemon simple syrup
1 ounce lime juice
1 ounce Cointreau

This inventive drink will take the edge off a scorching afternoon. Fill a chilled glass with ice. Pour everything, except the soda, into the glass and stir to chill. Add soda and stir again. Squeeze the lime on top and drop into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

your town. I look forward to exploring your blog further! Heidi
