I have loved pink and black together for what seems like forever. Maybe it was growing up in the 80s that made me fall in love with this dramatic, feminine colour pairing. Or maybe it is simply because it's gorgeous. I love it. That's all I know.

Remembering Oscar de la Renta

Looking back at the many, many beautiful fashions designed by Oscar de la Renta over the years, I found myself saying, over and over, "Oh, this one was a favourite"... Then I had a moment of recognition. You see, I have always thought that there are so many incredibly talented, unique fashion designers in the world that I could not possibly choose a favourite. But, now, I know I do have a favourite designer, and it would have to be the late Oscar de la Renta. His feminine, glamorous dresses make me swoon.

His passing this week has made me cherish his gifts of beauty to the world even more than ever before. I know I'm far from alone in saying that he was truly a great designer, one whose remarkable fashions will continue to inspire us for many years to come. He will be missed.

Fab Frock Friday: Ladylike Yellow

I just cannot seem to get enough of Oscar de la Renta's beautifully feminine frocks.

This gorgeous yellow gown was the finale dress for his Pre-Fall 2013 collection. Classic chic. The matching diamond necklace is the icing on the cake.
