Pairing black and white always looks very striking, to me, making it a great choice for a wedding colour scheme. Of course, if you would like a bit more colour, you could always add a third hue for an accent. For example, I like seeing pale pink with black and white, especially. Throw in some gold or silver, to add a little shimmer, and you've got a gorgeous look for your wedding.
